OUR PROGRAMS

PAIRING PROGRAM

Anyone over 18 with an intellectual disability or autism spectrum disorder can apply for a pairing with Parrainage Civique Montréal. The pairing consists of a member (best buddy) and a volunteer (buddy) who share common interests and expectations.

If you wish to apply, we encourage you to contact the pairing program coordinator to discuss possible options.

It is necessary to update your application annually. An annual fee of $12 is required to obtain a membership card, which grants access to all services provided by Parrainage Civique Montréal and allows participation in the annual general meeting.

REGULAR PROGRAMMING

A regular program is offered exclusively to members of Parrainage Civique Montréal with ID or ASD. They are invited to participate in weekly and monthly activities. Our activities facilitate integration and social participation through various important themes such as advocacy for their rights, self-esteem, cultural discovery, and more.

DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

VISUAL ARTS

In these workshops, participants are invited to explore and express their creativity through various art forms such as drawing, painting, clay, collage and much more. Works are presented to the public at exhibitions.

DANCE

Dance workshops provide participants with the opportunity to express themselves through movement, explore different styles, and have fun.

IMPROV

Improv workshops help develop spontaneity and self-confidence through play and theatrical expression.

WORDS AND MOVEMENTS

This adapted arts program at Place-des-Arts offers workshops in poetry and slam poetry.

SUPERS RIGOLOS

Our theater troupe, consisting of 15 members, is involved in a project that fosters creativity and collaborative creative work.

YOGA

Yoga workshops offer relaxation exercises.

SUMMER IN MONTREAL

Every summer, a calendar of summer activities is offered to our members with ID/ASD. Activities such as shows, festivals, theater performances and visits to archaeological sites allow participants to explore and engage fully in urban life. These outings enhance their ability to use public transport and improve their social skills.
